Me he tenido que poner el American Idiot de Green Day para redactar este post, pues tenía un poco olvidados a los pobrecitos y el baúl de mi mente solamente se abría para dejar escapar algunas notas de ‘Basket Case’ y ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’. Tela, ¿eh? Dos temas tan separados en el tiempo y tan juntos en mi pequeña masa encefálica…
El caso es que la banda ya ha anunciado tanto el título de su próximo trabajo como una ventana de lanzamiento del mismo. Llevará por nombre 21st Century Breakdown y tendríamos que poder encontrarlo en nuestras tiendas a partir del próximo mes de mayo. La fecha exacta está todavía por confirmar, aunque ya puede ser reservado. Yo ya me espero a que aparezca en Spotify si eso.
Por lo visto el álbum vendrá dividido en tres actos: Heroes And Cons, Charlatans And Saints y Horseshoes And Handgrenades. Y eso, que parece que van a seguir con su espíritu combativo y criticón de siempre. Habrá que ver si musicalmente de recrudecen un poquito o siguen con el pie a varios centímetros del acelerador.
Cada año se producen unos cuantos retornos de bandas que, por alguna u otra razón, decidieron en algún momento de sus carreras que lo mejor era que cada integrante tirara por su lado. Los hay sonados, como la vuelta a los escenarios de The Police o Heroes del Silencio y otros, como el de Blink-182, que no son tan espectaculares. Al fin y al cabo se trata de una banda formada a mediados de los 90, aunque hay que reconocer que se hicieron con una buena base de fans a lo largo y ancho del globo.
El anuncio se hizo oficial durante la gala de los Grammy, en la que sus tres integrantes dejaron caer la bomba. Vuelven a formar equipo retomando a Blink-182 donde lo dejaron, confirmando un nuevo álbum que ya se está cociendo en el estudio y preparando su correspondiente gira mundial. Sin datos más concretos nos emplazan al próximo verano, así que atentos a la llegada de los calores.
La artista se prepara para los Premios Brits que se celebran el próximo 18 de Febrero y a los que opta a un galardón como Mejor Artista Femenina Internacional. Su segundo single continúa Nº1 en Europa
Con la canción I Kissed A Girl, primer single de su álbum de debut One Of The Boys, Katy Perry consiguió un éxito platenario, situándose como una de las grandes sorpresas de la escena musical actual. El segundo single del disco, Hot N Cold, lleva camino de superar todas las previsiones. Hoy, esta canción es nº1 en Europa en la lista de radios y ventas por cuarta semana consecutiva; nº1 en radio en 15 países; nº1 en iTunes en 12 países; ha vendido más de tres millones de singles; ha recibido más de 60 millones de visitas al vídeo sólo en YouTube... Además, el álbum One Of The Boys se mantiene entre los 20 primeros en más de 12 países (Francia, Alemania, Canadá, Austria, Dinamarca, Suiza...), mientras Katy Perry está nominada a un Grammy en la categoría de Mejor Actuación Pop con la canción I Kissed A Girl y a un Brit Award como Mejor Artista Femenina Internacional. No se puede pedir más.
Como cada año, vuelve el Metalway dispuesto a convertirse en uno de los festivales de referencia entre los amantes del rock más duro y del metal en nuestro país, y para ello han comenzado a anunciar nombres de envergadura en su cartel. Alguno de ellos son viejos conocidos del festival zaragozano, como Motörhead o Manowar.
Pero hay más formaciones dignas de mención entre las bandas que descargarán los días 20, 21, 26 y 27 de junio en tierras mañas. Apunta por ahí a Heaven & Hell, Stratovarius, Primal Fear, Amon Amarth y Dark Tranquility, entre otras agrupaciones de mayor o menor reconocimiento que también han sido contratadas.
Más adelante, se confirmarán otros nombres y se dará más información sobre la venta de abonos. Aunque son muy buenos grupos los anunciados, no estaría de más que ampliaran la oferta con formaciones que estuvieran menos vistas en nuestro país, los cual sin duda les ayudaría a formar un cartel mucho más atractivo.
